Update on Billing: F19 Edit - Temporarily Turned Off Until Further Notice
Dear Colleague:
The Bureau of Early Intervention (BEI) has received multiple
communications from municipalities and providers regarding the billing edits in
the EI-Hub and the related claims rejections. BEI has met with Public
Consulting Group (PCG) and the following billing error has been temporarily
turned off:
- F19 Rejection Error Description: ‘The Rendering Provider is not licensed. Supervising provider/therapist must be added.’
This
rejection occurs if the rendering provider is unlicensed. In such cases, the
system will verify a clinical supervisor is assigned in the rendering
provider's Therapist record. If the Therapist record does not have a supervisor
listed and/or the supervisor's information is not included on the claim, the
claim will be rejected.
Please resubmit all previously rejected claims associated with the F19
Rejection code.
