454 Rejection Error Description: ‘Billing Restriction Applied to Rendering Provider Services. Under EI Provider Not Permitted to bill CPT/HCPC Code or CPT Code Invalid or Missing.’
Despite having a valid CPT Code, a matching qualified professional was a requirement of this edit in order to receive an accepted claim. However, in order to support providers, this edit has been turned off until further notice. Additional future training will be provided to support this process prior to this edit being turned back on.
Please resubmit all previously rejected claims that received a 454 Rejection.
