147- Medicaid Annual Recertification Reminder

Over the upcoming weeks, early Intervention provider agencies and individual providers will be receiving prefilled Medicaid annual recertification forms.

For those billing providers who received but have not yet submitted these forms, please submit them by the date given to you by Medicaid.  DOH BEI urges agencies and individual service providers to promptly complete and return the forms by the date given to you by Medicaid so Medicaid payments will continue to be issued without delay. Please note: Providers must enter a current certification date on the form as CSC/Medicaid cannot process a recertification form with a date more than 11 months in past or 50 days in future.

Mandatory Electronic Fund Transfer of Medicaid Payments.

As a reminder, those agencies and independent service providers who do not currently receive payment via EFT will not be able to receive a new ETIN without completing the EFT paperwork. For filling out the EFT document, the provider must use the ETIN number issued to them by Medicaid, not the PCG ETIN.

In the case that a provider no longer wishes to provide EI services, they should reach out to BEI to inform them that they no longer wish to be in the system. BEI can be reached by calling 1 (518) 473-7016 or emailing bei@health.state.ny.us.
