Status of EIP Provider Payments
Dear Colleague:
The Department and its interim fiscal agent, James McGuinness Associates, Inc., (McGuinness) have completed work with Key Bank to issue payments to EIP providers from the escrow account funded by deposits from municipalities.
Key Bank will be ready to accept and McGuinness will transmit a payment file for processing on Monday, May 20, 2013. Key Bank has assured the Department that it will immediately process the file and print checks on that day. Checks will be mailed to providers on May 21, 2013. The first payments from the escrow account will be for provider bills submitted in NYEIS.
A new report will be available on EIBilling.com by close of business May 15, 2013, which will detail payments being made to billing providers from the escrow account.
Regular updates will be issued to EIP providers on scheduled payments from the escrow account.
McGuinness is now submitting claims to Medicaid on an ongoing basis. As of May 14, 2013, Medicaid has accepted $2,600,246.50 in claims for adjudication which were submitted by McGuinness. Claims approved for payment will be issued to providers on June 5, 2013, in accordance with the routine Medicaid billing cycle.
