For providers using the EI-Hub Service Logging component for billing, telehealth modifiers are integrated into the system. When generating a claim, users will select the appropriate telehealth modifier when applicable CPT/HCPCS codes are used.
Providers using a third-party billing system may need to collaborate with their vendor to incorporate the modifier if it is not already available. It is important to start using this modifier as soon as possible after the EI-Hub launch.
Below is the telehealth modifier to be used:
· Modifier 95: Allows reporting of services that provides audio-visual conferencing between provider/patient that includes a virtual examination
